Rachael Stark works in public safety policy and officer wellness and serves as a POST-certified Reserve Police Officer. She is also a Captain in the Missouri Army National Guard, a peer support team member, a former forensic death investigator and a law enforcement spouse. Her work focuses on compassion fatigue, cumulative stress, and the invisible burdens first responders carry at work and at home.

Rachael is developing work around first responder wellness, compassion fatigue, cumulative stress, trauma exposure, and the invisible burdens carried by public safety professionals and their families.
Her perspective is grounded in law enforcement, forensic death investigation, peer support, military leadership, public safety policy, and life as a law enforcement spouse. Her writing on first responder wellness has been published in the FOP Journal, and she has participated in media and podcast conversations about public service, resilience, and the human side of the job.
